A versatile tool with direct visualization
With its new CAD configurator, Rollco offers a tool that simplifies and streamlines the design of timing belt conveyors. It provides a direct visualization for the user, as all choices made are immediately displayed on the screen.
The configurator was developed by Rollco's product management team alongside the development of the company's own Timing belt conveyor TB.
– It has been a complex and fun project, says Rollco software developer Hugo, who is one of those behind the new CAD configurator. A project that will serve as a model when Rollco continues to develop other CAD configurators.
Which features are available in the CAD configurator?
Dimensioning
Rollco's Timing belt conveyor is available in two sizes, TB40 and TB80. In the CAD configurator, you can create systems with up to ten parallel units. The systems can be up to 6000 mm long and just over 6000 mm wide.
Motor and speed
The timing belt conveyor is designed with a shaft pin for the motor on either the left or right side of the system. It is possible to choose different positions for the motor and speeds for the conveyor. By clicking on the start button at the top of the configurator, you see a simulation of how the timing belt conveyor runs. The belt then moves at the actual speed in relation to the choices you have made.
Performance
The performance data of your timing belt system is continuously updated on the screen. You can directly see the current value for your selections. All performance values are thoroughly tested for both the timing belt conveyor and the stand.
Belt type and options
As standard, you can choose a PU (Polyurethane) or a Linatex coated belt. It is also possible to add cleats with different heights, or false teeth. Possible amounts and placements of these are automatically displayed in the configurator, pre-calculated and ready to match the length of the selected conveyor.
There are many varieties of belts on the market, if you have needs that go beyond the CAD configurator, it can often be solved by contacting Rollco.
Matching stand, with or without tilt
In the CAD configurator you can choose to include a customized stand for your timing belt conveyor. You choose start and end height for the stand. It is possible to create an inclined conveyor of +/-10°, which is then visualized directly on the screen.

Complete datasheet and CAD file
When you are finished with the design of your timing belt conveyor, you can download a complete data sheet with performance data, dimensions, order codes, etc. for your entire system, as well as a CAD file.
Ready for quote
The information you get from the configurator can be easily sent to Rollco to receive a quote with price and lead time. It is possible to attach drawings or other documents.
