At this year's Elkjöp Campus in Norway, TCL Electronics presented a trade show booth with six movable TCL TVs displayed on a nine-meter-long rail system. Rollco supplied the technical solution for the booth, combining design, function and quiet precision. The result was a booth that received much praise and impressed visitors.
The challenge: Stylish movement in a trade fair environment
For the second year in a row, G9 Stockholm AB was commissioned to design the TCL Electronics stand at the Norwegian trade fair Elkjöp Campus 2025. The challenge was to create a solution where six TCL TVs could move smoothly back and forth on nine-meter-long rails, with minimal noise. It was also important to maintain a technical and stylish feel to the stand.
The theme of the stand was “industrial laboratory environment”, which meant a clean, white and high-gloss design. The technical solution therefore had to not only function flawlessly, but also blend in visually with the overall look.
Aluminium instead of steel – a conscious design choice
G9 Stockholm AB, had a clear vision for the design from the start. Rollco helped develop a solution that combined the customer's design wishes with the technical requirements. Initially, a welded steel frame was considered, but to better match the visual theme of the stand and at the same time obtain a more flexible system that was easy to work with, an aluminium frame was chosen instead. This provided both aesthetic and practical advantages.
To move the TVs, a Compact Rail system was selected and mounted onto the aluminium frame. Due to the system's length of approximately nine meters, several rails were joined together.
