The Linear Unit RHL is today a well-proven product that has been part of Rollco's product portfolio for many years. Since all manufacturing takes place locally in Helsingborg, there are excellent opportunities to easily customize the linear unit if needed. This flexibility can be more challenging when production is outsourced or when purchasing from an intermediary.
Machining of end blocks reduces the risk of dust and dirt accumulation
In environments with a lot of dust and dirt, there is a risk that contaminants penetrate the linear units and affect both their performance and lifespan. This is exactly the challenge that one of Rollco's customers faced. To solve the problem, they decided to machine the underside of the linear unit's end blocks. This solution prevented dirt and dust from accumulating and building up inside the unit. The milling was performed locally by Rollco's machining department in Helsingborg.
